Mid night in Paris

It’s a movie scene from Mid night in Paris.
A Conversation between the lead role “Gil Pender and his literary idol “Ernest Hemingway”.
Enjoy the conversation. I Loved it.

Heminway :
The assignment was to take the hill.
There were 4 of us.

5 if you counted Vicente, but he had
lost his hand when a grenade went off

and couldn't fight as he could when I first met him.

And he was young, and brave.

And the hill was soggy from days of rain,
and the hill sloped down toward a road,

and there were many German soldiers on the road.

And the idea was to aim for the first group,

and if our aim was true, we could delay them.

Gil :
- Were you scared?

Heminway :
- Of what?

Gil :
Getting killed?

Heminway :
You'll never write well
if you're afraid of dying.

- Do you?

Gil :
- Yeah, I do. I'd say it's probably...

maybe my greatest fear, actually.

Heminway :
Well, that's something all men before
you have done. All men will do.

Gil :
- I know. I know.

Heminway :
- Have you ever made love to a truly great woman?

Gil :
Actually, my fiancee is pretty sexy.

Heminway :
And when you make love to her,
you feel true, and beautiful
passion, and you, for at least that moment,
lose your fear of death.

Gil :
No. That doesn't happen.

Heminway :
I believe that love that is true and real
creates a respite from death.

All cowardice comes from not loving,
or not loving well, which is the same thing.

And when the man who is brave and true
looks Death squarely in the face

like some rhino-hunters I know,
or Belmonte, who's truly brave.

It is because they love with sufficient
passion, to push death out of their minds,

until it returns, as it does, to all men.

And then you must make really good love again.

Think about it.

Relationship limbo

Billboard of CCD. "A lot can happen over a cup of coffee". Sit with a cup of coffee and here I take a detour of thoughts. Some are labyrinth and some baskets of unanswered questions.
Happened to landed in city of Mumbai last march and there my fate gave a chance me to have handful of experience with People management. Its no less than irony that I am talking about people interaction in the city where the citizen of this lunatic planet have hardly any time to see your face. So far it is no less than a lesson of disaster management.
Met Good people, Beautiful people, Bad people, Gentleman, Evil souls and some devil advocates. Some left an impression on my soul and some on the pant pockets. And some are having their stake in that unanswered question basket, coz couldn't come out of conclusion which label to paste on them. Either way, it was never ending learning process of understanding homosapien.

For Justin timberlake Friends with benefits is just a movie, here its the fucking reality. Probably the developers of professional social networking website Linkedin understood it pretty well and came up with the slogan 'Relationships matter'. Make me decision maker and the word Relationship will be added in the mythological seven deadly sins or vices.

My day of departure from the city will call last action of the part of the trade 'Guru dakshina'. Lets see what'll be left over in the basket to give in return.

And.... CCD is too costly place to make a relationship.

A Sunday.

The Things you can do on a Sunday .... When you are not the part of any hangouts, Movie, Shopping and Clubbing.

You Wake up at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

Have a morning tea at 3 in the afternoon, staring at the dustbin, counting and wondering that how many beer cans you finished alone on Saturday night.

Morning bath at 4 in the evening.

Then enjoyed some dosas as the part of evening breakfast.

Since it is a holiday.. and you have just taken first meal of the day...it is time to take a nap.

You open your eyes and have a look at the time piece. Its 8 PM and raining outside.

Now with only 2 hours left to catch up with the club house before it call for the day. 2 options to choose from, either going to the Gym and try to give some hard time to your body or indulge yourself in a game of pool or two.

As soon you enters to the gym and seeing a hot chic working out there...... you immediately drops off the plan of Pool game.

Running on the treadmill while your mind's 78% stake is lying at the corner of the gym where you see the chic making her curves smooth.

Disappointed, that its 10 in the watch and they are pushing you out of the gym. Chic is busy in packing her stuff. Her One hand is holding the White blackberry and car key in other.

And here.. I was holding the most wettest towel in the gym in left hand and Room's key in the right.

Ahhh... I just forgot that its Sunday and my Cook gonna be enjoying with her family rather than making chapatis in kitchen. So..... it's gonna be the night relied upon scavenging.

Tired up with exercising and laziness in the evening. Just skipped the dinner and tried to work on the alternatives.

History repeats itself and in next ten minutes I found myself with the last beer can which makes an escape from me last night.

Eyes on the half finished book(Connecting the Dots) and best taste on the tongue. And here I am on the brim of Sunday.
A Sunday.

Its been some time

Its been some time. I didn't do something. Something which it means to me something. For which I used to wake up whole night Unconditionally, without food, without water and without Loo break. The thing which surpasses all the limits of passion. Where strive used to drive me far away from the excuses. Where body never said no to hours of statue in the same pose.

And in the end..... I used to see a Morning, A morning of satisfaction. Not with results or achievements, whatever I achieve or I hadn't, but with myself. A morning, where my mother used to come with the love in her eyes, after seeing her boy consecrated. A morning, when the chirping of the birds by my windowpane used to be the bedtime song of mine.

Its been some time. I didn't do something.

THE FACES OF DEATH

Came across to a documentary movie THE FACES OF DEATH. Gave a string in my brain. The things which looks very normal, looks too ordinary to catch our attention towards it.
We live our life the way we want to, but somewhere ... at some point of time... as part of the game ...we make mistakes ... no matter what how small or big it is.... but we do that......and eventually we lose,
The lucky ones are those who move on from the Armageddon. But some of us are not as visionary as one should be, for them let me try to rearticulate the scenes from that movie clip:
·        We will not waste the bread and milk in the morning or last 5 spoons of rice in the dinner plate if we would have seen the child dying of starvation in the East African village.
·        Nobody would have made even an attempt to Eve tease a girl if the video clip would had been broadcasted in which Electric shock chair was first tested on the Rape criminal to deliver the judgement.
·        The chicken or the lamb in the plate wouldn’t be as easy to finish if the eater seen the dying process of his food.
·        Freedom is loved by everybody. And it’s not too uncommon that how we misuse it. Having seen the Hitler’s gas chambers and the death procedure would have made us very conscious on how to use our freedom.

It might be too pessimistic or downbeat thinking but it gave me a new realm of thinking.... which is worth to ponder over....

A morning to remember

Bling Bling Bling..... Snooze ......

Bling Bling Bling..... Snooze ......

Wooh.. its 6.30AM. No options left .. I have to leave bed for good. Got my sleepy head out of the window .... and today It's the Mumbai shows up no less than Shimla. Wohoo..

It was morning showery show with the mist covered all around high rise buildings. People say that beauty lies in beholders eyes.. Well, it wasn't the case this morning. The God had put his best for his kiddos to enjoy this beautiful weather.

What could have been more appropriate to start my day with black tea and some unfinished books by my pillow. Irrespective of how much we enjoy the time... the clock always run faster than the inflation. So with no option left... I had to get ready to have my head on to the office.

In a view of angle of depression from my 14th floor windowpane .... I saw a couple enjoying swimming in the middle of rain. I can imagine how that top of the world time they must be having. This is the mid of the June... and paradoxically I had to put the geezer On ...to have deep indulgence in water.

Belted up the jeans, Tees on the shoulder and here I start my stride to the office. Guard gave a usual pasted smile to me as soon I got out of lift. No offence. The moment I got out of my building compound, I figured out that my march was as conservative as a sixteen year old girl. Just tried to remain as less wet as it possible. Though the car driver passersby tried to do exactly opposite. By the time I hit the main entrance of my work temple, I can felt the puddles running down under the socks by my ankle.

Passed through cafeteria where I had the fantastic Frankie last eve with the beautiful bunch of people around me. Crossed the assembly line where workmen were giving homage in front of in-house temple. Looked into the eyes of god and I said, make this day best out of it.

Punched in ... struggled to win over my heart and to say good bye to the morning. Walked through aisles, had a Déjà vu. Switched on my machine and...... Started writing about this diminutive and nice memory.

Literature Class apart

Got my self in the net of literature this time and found a marvelous piece of work By Satinder Sartaj. It would be unfair and inappropriate for him if you stop yourself from listening the song (Ishqe layi Kurbaniyan) after reading the gorgeous lyrics here.

Act of persuasion

The Exchange of words between the Boxing commission panellist and Rocky Balboa. This is something I call Act of persuasion. He gets the First class Boxing licence at his 50's.

"Rocky: Yo, Don’t I got some right?
Panellist: What rights do you think you are referring to?
Rocky: Rights, like in that official piece of paper. That they wrote down on the streets there
Panellist: That’s the bill of rights.
Rocky: Yeah, Yeah, the bill of right.
Rocky: Don’t it say something about going after what makes you happy?
Panellist: No, That’s the pursuit of happiness. But, what’s your point?
Rocky: My point is I’m pursuing something and nobody looks too happy about it.
Panellist: But we're just looking out for your interest.
Rocky: I appreciate that, but maybe you're looking out for your interests just a little bit more.
Rocky: I mean, you shouldn't been asking people to come down here and pay the freight on something they paid, it still ain't good enough, I mean, you think that's right?
Rocky: I mean, maybe you're doing your job, but why you gotta stop me from doing mine?
Rocky: Cause if you're willing to go through all the battling, you got to go through to get where you want to get, who’s got the right to stop you?
Rocky: I mean, maybe some of you guys got something you never fill in, something you really wanna do, something you never said to somebody, something!
Rocky: And you're told "No", even after you have paid your dues.
Rocky: Who's got the right to tell you that? Who? Nobody!
Rocky: It's your right to listen to your gut, it ain't nobody's right to say no. After you earn the right to be what you wanna be, and do what you wanna do!

Rocky: You know, the older I get, the more things I gotta leave behind, that's life.
Rocky: The only thing I'm asking you guys is to leave on the table... ...is what's right."
